Vega expands production capacity with a new plant in China
Vega continues to expand its international presence. At the end of May, the measurement technology manufacturer officially opened a new production facility in Jiaxing, China. Following the expansion of its electronics manufacturing operations in the U.S. in October 2025, the company is thus continuing to implement its global production strategy. The new plant complements the manufacturing operations at the company’s headquarters in Schiltach, which will remain unchanged.

PV hybrid systems gaining importance for grid stability and security of supply
The expansion of solar energy in Europe is moving forward. According to the think tank Ember, 30 percent of the electricity in the European Union already came from wind and solar energy last year. However, as the share of renewable energy increases, so does the challenge of providing electricity exactly when it is needed. PV hybrid systems, which combine photovoltaics and battery storage at a single grid connection point, are considered a key component of a more flexible energy system. The growing importance of hybrid systems is also reflected in the Intersolar Europe program.

The smarter E Europe, Munich (June 23 - 25, 2026)
The smarter E Europe 2026 will take place from June 23 to 25, 2026, at the Munich Exhibition Center. It is considered Europe's largest platform for the energy industry and combines four trade fairs under one roof: Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe, and EM-Power Europe. Together, they represent the entire value chain of the new energy world: from generation and storage to distribution and intelligent use. More than 2,800 exhibitors are expected to attend, looking to exchange ideas with over 100,000 visitors.
